The Benefits of Being a MTA Queensland Member
The Motor Trades Association of Queensland (MTA Queensland) has been in operation since 1929. Over our 88 years, MTA Queensland has built a solid foundation of professionalism, trust, honesty and reliability with our members.
With over 13,000 businesses and 90,000 people working in the motor trades, MTA Queensland compromises 11 automotive divisions that represent members within specific industry sectors. Along with the comfort of being represented by the peak automotive industry body, MTA Queensland members that display the Professional Circle; a symbol symbolising ‘proof of professionalism,’ are assured of their status as a business that maintains the highest of standards.
MTA Queensland Group CEO, Dr Brett Dale said, “The public recognises businesses that display the MTA Queensland Professional Circle, as a business that has passed a stringent approval process by their respective divisional committee before becoming an approved MTA Queensland member.
“This means that Queenslanders can be assured that automotive businesses displaying the Professional Circle are meeting the 10 commitments which include honesty, professionalism, transparency, courtesy, integrity, care, clarity, proactivity, accountability and compliance.“
It can be difficult for the public to know whether an automotive business is trustworthy, reliable and honest. AMTA Queensland member displaying the Professional Circle can give that re-assurance.”
MTA Queensland is the peak organisation in the State representing the specific interests of businesses in the retail, repair and service sector of Queensland’s automotive industry. There are some 13,000 automotive value chain businesses employing in excess of 90,000 persons generating in excess of $14.5 billion annually. The Association represents and promotes issues of relevance to the automotive industries to all levels of Government and within Queensland’s economic structure.
The Association is the leading automotive training provider in Queensland offering nationally recognised training, covering technical, retail and the aftermarket sectors of the automotive industry through the MTA Institute-a registered training organisation. It is the largest private automotive apprentice trainer in Queensland employing many trainers who are geographically dispersed from Cairns to the Gold Coast and Toowoomba and Emerald. The MTA Institute last financial year accredited courses to more than 2,000 apprentices and trainees.
