MTAQ: Industry Awards Coming Up this November 2019

Get your diaries out because the date has been set for MTA Queensland’s night of nights. The 2019 Industry Awards Dinner will be held on Saturday, 16 November at the Emporium Hotel, Southbank starting at 6pm.

Join us as we celebrate industry and training excellence, and the achievements of the MTA Queensland members and MTA Institute apprentices throughout Queensland over the past 12 months.

The night will be hosted by Ben Davis from Channel Seven, who is a media all-rounder with more than 25-years’ experience in television and radio predominantly covering sport. He will be joined by special guests Craig Lowndes, one of Australia’s most popular and successful drivers in Australian motor sports history, and Simona De Silvestro, the first full-time female Supercar driver for a Q&A session on the lives and experiences of both drivers in the motor racing industry.

One of the highlights of the evening is the announcement of the 2019 MTA Queensland Apprentice of the Year, awarded from a pool of talented, hard-working students. The 2019 dinner will also introduce a brand-new award for ‘Women in Industry’, which recognises a female leader or business achieving success by their commitment to driving change in the automotive industry.

As per previous years, the night will include an auction with all money raised going to MTA Queensland’s charity partner Youngcare. The 2018 event raised almost $10,000 for the charity.
