MTA NSW Information Nights
As part of the ongoing commitment to our members, we will be traveling the highways again to conduct MTA NSW information nights and visiting members across NSW and ACT.
These divisional specific sessions are designed to provide members, their staff, and the industry generally with the opportunities to stay ahead of legislative changes affecting the automotive industry generally, and to provide an update of specific topics affecting sectors of the industry.
An example of the key industry topic updates includes: Revised Code of Conduct; Workplace Health and Safety; Motor Dealer’s and Repairer’s Regulation Update; AIS Business Rules; Signage Requirements; Fair Trading Compliance – Best Practice and other industry topics.
Senior MTA Divisional Managers present the information evenings, which are an excellent opportunity for members to ask one-on-one questions with subject matter experts on industry related issues and to support our members in their business activities. Through our partnership arrangement with businesses such as MTAA Super and the Commonwealth Bank, presentations will also be conducted, at various locations, to keep members up to date with the changing superannuation or financial landscape.
With the need to keep our members informed of industry changes, as a fundamental benefit of an association membership, our Business Development Managers look forward to welcoming members and their staff to these essential information evenings.
Upcoming dates and locations for these MTA NSW information nights will be communicated directly to members.
One of the key services provided to our members from MTA Employment Relations is a personalised training course on a range of topics including, ‘Prevention of Bullying, Harassment and Discrimination in the Workplace’. This course consists of two key modules – one for management to inform them of their obligations and another module designed for employees to inform them of their responsibilities within the workplace. An important training course also on offer covers the area of ‘Recruitment, Induction and Performance Management for Managers’.
For further information, please contact the MTA NSW Employment Relations Department via email: eradvice@mtansw.com.au or phone (02) 9016 9000.
These interactions provide us with the ability to deliver timely information and practical assistance to our members. With assistance ranging from stationery for your everyday business needs, through to employment relations and training, these are examples of how the MTA can assist the owner/operator or manager to meet their regulatory compliance or help them manage their business.
Supporting our core member services are the complementary range of membership benefits and business partner services designed to improve members’ productivity and profitability. MTA NSW offers members great value for their annual membership subscription with a range of benefits and products – the savings easily offset the cost of your membership!
